Before You Cook
Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

- Ground Turkey 165° F |

If using ground turkey, break up until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes.

1 Prepare the Ingredients
Drain beans.
Remove stem, seeds, and ribs, and cut bell pepper into 1/4" dice. -
2 Cook the Beef and Peppers
Place a large pot over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.
Add ground beef, bell peppers, 1/2 tsp. salt, and 1/2 tsp. pepper to hot pot. Break up meat until no pink remains and beef reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes. -
3 Make the Chili
Add flour to hot pot and stir until no dry flour remains.
Add corn, garlic salt, salsa (to taste), beans, and 2 cups water. Bring to a simmer.Once simmering, reduce heat to low and stir occasionally until vegetables are tender and chili thickens slightly, 5-7 minutes.Remove from burner. -
4 Finish the Dish
Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping chili with cheese, sour cream, and tortilla strips. Bon appétit!
