Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |
- Chicken 165° F |
- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F

If using steak strips, follow same instructions as sliced pork.

1 Start the Vegetables
Cut potatoes into 1/2" dice.
Place potatoes on prepared baking sheet and toss with 1 Tbsp. olive oil, potato spice seasoning, and 1/4 tsp. salt. Spread into an even layer.Roast in hot oven, 15 minutes.While potatoes roast, continue recipe. -
2 Prepare the Ingredients
Remove stem, seeds, and ribs, and cut bell pepper into 1/2" dice.
Trim and thinly slice green onions.Pat sliced pork dry. Coarsely chop, then separate pieces. -
3 Add the Bell Peppers and Pork
After 15 minutes, carefully remove sheet from oven and push potatoes to one side of sheet.
Place bell peppers, pork, 2 tsp. olive oil, steak seasoning, garlic salt, and a pinch of salt and pepper on empty side of sheet. Stir to combine and spread into an even layer on their side. Sheet will be hot! Use a utensil/caution. -
4 Finish the Vegetables and Pork
Roast in hot oven until potatoes are tender and pork reaches a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 15-20 minutes.
Carefully remove from oven and drain any excess liquid. Sheet will be hot! Use caution/dab with a paper towel. -
5 Add Sauce and Finish Dish
Stir half the BBQ sauce (reserve remaining for garnish) into pork mixture until combined and evenly top with cheese, then bacon.
Roast again in hot oven until cheese is melted, 2-3 minutes.Carefully remove from oven.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping potatoes with pork mixture, remaining BBQ sauce, green onions, then crispy onions. Bon appétit!
