Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F

If using ground turkey, cook patties in a medium non-stick pan over medium heat with 2 tsp. olive oil until patties reach minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes per side.

1 Start the Potatoes
Quarter potatoes.
Place potatoes on prepared baking sheet and toss with 1 Tbsp. olive oil, 1/4 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. pepper, and Italian seasoning. Spread into a single layer. Have a little sous chef around? With supervision, have them help season the potatoes.Roast in hot oven oven, 15 minutes.While potatoes roast, continue recipe. -
2 Make Ricotta Mixture and Form Patties
In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta, shredded cheese, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Set aside. Kids want to help? With supervision, have them help make the ricotta mixture.
In another mixing bowl, combine panko and 2 Tbsp. water. Let sit, 1 minute.After 1 minute, add ground beef, 1/4 tsp. salt, savory seasoning, and a pinch of pepper. Form meat mixture into four equally-sized patties, 5" across. -
3 Add the Patties
After 15 minutes, carefully remove sheet from oven. Stir in a pinch of salt until combined and push potatoes to one side of sheet. Sheet will be hot! Use a utensil.
Place patties on empty side of sheet.Roast in hot oven, 10 minutes.Carefully remove sheet from oven. Evenly top patties with ricotta mixture, then marinara. Sheet will be hot! Use a utensil. -
4 Finish the Potatoes and Patties
Roast again in hot oven until potatoes are browned and patties reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 5-7 minutes.
Carefully remove from oven.While potatoes and patties roast, continue recipe. -
5 Toast Buns and Finish Dish
Heat buns to your preference using a toaster or microwave.
Alternatively, place buns directly on oven rack, cut-side down. Toast in hot oven until slightly browned, 3-4 minutes. Carefully remove from oven.Evenly spread softened butter on cut-side of buns.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping bottom bun with patty, then top bun. Garnish potatoes with grated cheese. Bon appétit!
