Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

If using antibiotic free chicken breasts, follow same instructions.

1 Prepare the Ingredients
Cut broccoli into bite-sized pieces.
Mince garlic.In a mixing bowl, combine cornstarch and 1 1/2 Tbsp. water. Set aside. Kids want to help? With supervision, have them help make the cornstarch mixture.Pat chicken dry. Season both sides with 1/4 tsp. salt and 1/4 tsp. pepper. -
2 Assemble the Chicken
Finely crush pretzels. For best results, place in a plastic bag and crush with a heavy object.
In another mixing bowl, combine pretzels and 2 tsp. olive oil.Place chicken on one half of prepared baking sheet. Evenly top with cornstarch mixture, then pretzels, pressing gently to adhere. Lightly spray chicken with cooking spray.Wipe pretzel bowl clean and reserve. -
3 Add the Broccoli
Add broccoli to empty side of sheet. Toss with garlic, 1 Tbsp. olive oil, 1/2 tsp. salt, and 1/4 tsp. pepper. Spread into a single layer on their side.
Have a little sous chef around? With supervision, have them help season the broccoli. -
4 Roast the Chicken and Broccoli
Roast in hot oven until broccoli is tender and chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 17-20 minutes.
Cutlet thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner cutlet, we recommend checking for doneness sooner.Carefully remove from oven. Evenly top broccoli with cheese.While chicken and broccoli roast, continue recipe. -
5 Make Sauce and Finish Dish
In reserved mixing bowl, combine dressing, sour cream, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Kids want to help? With supervision, have them help make the sauce.
