Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

If using ground beef, roast until meatballs reach minimum internal temperature, 17-20 minutes.

1 Assemble the Carrots
Peel, trim, and cut carrot into 1/4" slices on an angle. If carrot is larger than 1" in diameter, halve before slicing.
Place carrots on prepared baking sheet. Toss with 2 tsp. olive oil, smoked maple seasoning, and 1/4 tsp. garlic salt (reserve remaining for meatballs and mashed potatoes). Spread into a single layer on one side.Roast in hot oven, 12 minutes.While carrots roast, continue recipe. -
2 Form and Add the Meatballs
In a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, panko, savory seasoning, 1 tsp. remaining garlic salt (reserve remaining for mashed potatoes), and 1/4 tsp. pepper. Mix until thoroughly combined. Form meat mixture into 16 equally-sized meatballs.
After 12 minutes, carefully remove sheet from oven.Place meatballs on empty side of sheet and evenly top with 1 tsp. olive oil. Sheet will be hot! Use caution. -
3 Roast the Carrots and Meatballs
Roast in hot oven until carrots are tender and meatballs reach a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees and vegetables are tender, 14-18 minutes.
Carefully remove from oven.While carrots and meatballs roast, continue recipe. -
4 Heat the Mashed Potatoes
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine mashed potatoes and remaining 1/4 tsp. garlic salt. Vigorously stir to combine.
Microwave uncovered until heated through, 2-3 minutes.Carefully remove from microwave. Vigorously stir in 1 Tbsp. softened butter until combined. -
5 Make Gravy and Finish Dish
In another microwave-safe bowl, combine 1 Tbsp. butter, cornstarch, a pinch of pepper, 3/4 cup water, and chicken base.
Microwave uncovered until heated through, 60-90 seconds.Carefully remove from microwave and stir to combine. If too thick, add additional water, 1 tsp. at a time, until desired consistency is reached.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping mashed potatoes with meatballs. Garnish with gravy and crispy onions. Bon appétit!
