Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

If using ground turkey, break up until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes.

1 Cook the Rice
Bring a medium pot with rice, garlic salt, and 2 1/2 cups water to a boil.
Once boiling, reduce to a simmer, cover, and cook until rice is tender, 15-18 minutes.Remove from burner and set aside.While rice cooks, continue recipe. -
2 Prepare the Ingredients
Coarsely crush peanuts in shipping bag.
Break broccoli into bite-sized pieces using hands.Remove stem, seeds, and ribs, and cut bell pepper into 1/2" dice.Trim and thinly slice green onions on an angle, keeping white and green portions separate. -
3 Cook the Beef
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat.
Add ground beef to hot, dry pan. Break up meat until no pink remains and beef reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes.Reduce heat to medium and transfer ground beef to a plate. Keep pan over medium heat; no need to wipe clean. -
4 Cook Vegetables, Add Sauce and Beef, and Finish Dish
Add 2 tsp. olive oil and carrots to hot pan. Cook undisturbed, 3 minutes.
Add broccoli, bell peppers, white portions of green onions, and 1/4 cup water. Cover and cook until water is almost completely evaporated, 4-6 minutes.Uncover and stir occasionally until vegetables are tender, 2-3 minutes.Add teriyaki glaze, orange ginger sesame sauce (to taste), and beef. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer. Once simmering, stir constantly until sauce is slightly thickened and vegetables are coated, 2-3 minutes.Remove from burner.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping rice with beef and vegetable mixture and garnishing with peanuts and green portions of green onions.
