1 Toast Wonton Mixture and Prepare Ingredients
Finely crush wontons.
Cut broccoli into 1/2" bite-sized pieces.Zest orange, halve, and juice.Place a medium non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 1 tsp. sesame oil (reserve remaining for ground turkey).Add wontons and sesame seeds to hot pan and stir occasionally until wontons are slightly golden-brown and toasted, 1-2 minutes.Remove from burner. Transfer wonton mixture to a plate. Set aside. Wipe pan clean and return to medium heat. -
2 Cook the Broccoli
Add 2 tsp. olive oil, broccoli, 1/4 cup water, and a pinch of salt to hot pan. Cover and cook until water is almost completely evaporated, 4-6 minutes.
Uncover and stir occasionally until tender, 2-3 minutes.Remove from burner. -
3 Cook the Ground Turkey Mixture
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.
Add ground turkey and half the garlic salt (reserve remaining for rice) to hot pan. Break up meat until no pink remains and turkey reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 7-9 minutes.Add minced garlic and chili pepper (to taste) and cornstarch. Kids not a fan of extra heat? Feel free to skip/reduce the minced garlic and chili pepper. Stir often until no dry cornstarch remains.Add broccoli, remaining sesame oil, soy sauce, 1/4 tsp. orange zest (to taste), 3 Tbsp. orange juice, and orange sauce (to taste). Kids not a fan of extra heat? Feel free to skip/reduce the orange sauce. Stir often until combined, 1-2 minutes.Remove from burner.While ground turkey mixture cooks, continue recipe. -
4 Heat Rice and Finish Dish
Carefully massage rice in bag to break up any clumps and remove from packaging.
Place rice in a microwave-safe bowl.Microwave uncovered until heated through, 3-4 minutes.Carefully remove from microwave. Rest, 2 minutes.Stir in remaining garlic salt until combined and fluff rice with a fork.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping rice with ground turkey mixture. Garnish with wonton mixture.
