Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

If using antibiotic free chicken, follow same instructions.

If using top round steak, pat dry. Steak coloration may vary upon arrival due to packaging processes; steak quality and flavor will not be impacted. Cook in a medium non-stick pan with 2 tsp. olive oil over medium heat until steak reaches desired doneness, or 3-5 minutes per side for medium/medium-well. Rest, 3 minutes. Steak thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner steak, we recommend checking for doneness sooner.

1 Start the Carrots
Spray provided tray with cooking spray.
Place carrots in prepared tray and toss with 2 tsp. olive oil and half the garlic salt (reserve remaining for chicken). Spread into an even layer. Alternatively, reserve half the raw carrots for snacking/serving on the side.Bake uncovered in hot oven, 15 minutes.While carrots bake, continue recipe. -
2 Add the Chicken
Pat chicken dry. Season both sides with remaining garlic salt and a pinch of pepper.
After 15 minutes, carefully remove tray from oven. Push carrots to one side of tray, then evenly top with butter. Tray will be hot! Use a utensil. Butter will melt as meal bakes.Add chicken to empty side of tray and evenly top with pesto. -
3 Finish the Meal
Bake uncovered in hot oven until carrots are tender and chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 20-25 minutes.
Carefully remove from oven.To serve, top carrots with balsamic glaze (to taste) and garnish with cheese and almonds. Slice chicken, if desired. Bon appétit!
