Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

If using ground beef, cook in a medium non-stick pan over medium heat with 1 tsp. olive oil. Break up until beef reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes.

1 Roast the Potatoes
Cut potatoes into 1" wedges.
Place potatoes on one prepared baking sheet and toss with 4 tsp. olive oil, 1/2 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper. Spread into a single layer.Roast in hot oven until browned and tender, 30-35 minutes, tossing once halfway through.Carefully remove from oven and season with garlic pepper.While potatoes roast, continue recipe. -
2 Prepare the Ingredients
Remove stem, seeds, and ribs, and cut bell pepper into thin strips.
Halve and peel onion. Slice halves into thin strips.Pat chicken dry. -
3 Roast the Chicken and Vegetables
Place chicken, bell peppers, and onions on second prepared baking sheet. Top with 4 tsp. olive oil, savory seasoning, 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper. Gently toss until coated and spread into an even layer.
Roast in hot oven until chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 20-25 minutes.Carefully remove baking sheet from oven and drain excess liquid. Sheet will be hot! Use a utensil.While chicken and vegetables roast, continue recipe. -
4 Make the Cheese Sauce
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine cheese, cream base, and 1/4 tsp. salt. Cover with a damp paper towel. Microwave covered, 30 seconds.
Carefully remove from microwave and stir to combine. Cover again and microwave until cheese is melted and sauce is heated through, 1-2 minutes.Carefully remove from microwave and stir until smooth. Set aside. -
5 Toast Rolls and Finish Dish
Place rolls directly on oven rack, cut-side up.
Toast in hot oven until lightly browned, 3-4 minutes.Carefully remove from oven.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, filling roll with chicken and vegetables and topping with cheese sauce. Bon appétit!
