Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using antibiotic free chicken, pat dry. Cook until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes per side.

  • If using top round steak, pat dry. Steak coloration may vary upon arrival due to packaging processes; steak quality and flavor will not be impacted. Cook until steak reaches desired doneness, or 3-5 minutes per side for medium/medium-well. Rest, 3 minutes. Steak thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner steak, we recommend checking for doneness sooner.

  • If using sliced beef, pat dry, coarsely chop, then separate pieces. Stir occasionally until beef reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes. Rest, 3 minutes.

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Remove stem, seeds, and ribs, and cut bell pepper into 1/2" dice.

Drain pineapples in a colander/strainer and quarter.

    Stem cilantro; keeping leaves whole.

Pat sliced pork dry. Coarsely chop, then separate pieces.

  2. 2

    Cook the Vegetables

Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.

Add bell peppers, onions, and half the garlic salt (reserve remaining for pork) to hot pan. Stir occasionally until tender, 6-8 minutes.

  3. 3

    Add the Pork and Pineapples

Add pork, Asian garlic, ginger & chile seasoning (use less if spice-averse), ginger, remaining garlic salt, and a pinch of pepper to hot pan. Stir occasionally until browned and pork reaches a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 5-7 minutes.

Add pineapples and peanuts. Stir often until pineapples are slightly browned, 2-4 minutes.

Add orange sauce (to taste), soy sauce, and 1/4 cup water. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.

Once simmering, remove from burner. Rest, 3 minutes.

While pork mixture cooks, continue recipe.

  4. 4

    Heat Rice and Finish Dish

Carefully massage rice in bag to break up any clumps and remove from packaging.

In a microwave-safe bowl, combine rice and 1/4 tsp. salt.

Microwave uncovered until heated through, 3-4 minutes.

Carefully remove from microwave. Rest, 2 minutes.

    Fluff rice with a fork.

Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping pork mixture with cilantro. Bon appétit!
