You converted tapes to CDs and CDs to MP3s, now convert a tasty Banh Mi sandwich to an even tastier rice bowl. Tip: Easier way to mince cilantro? Gather them all in one hand and lay on the cutting board. Use your knife in rocking motion to cut, then turn 90 degrees and repeat until the herbs are properly chopped!

  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |

Customize It Instructions

  • If using chicken breast, pat dry and, on a separate cutting board, cut into 1" dice. Follow same instructions as step 2 up to adding teriyaki sauce and carrots, then cook until chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 1-2 minutes.

  • If using ground beef, follow same instructions as step 2 up to adding teriyaki sauce and carrots, then cook until pink remains, 30-60 seconds.

  • If using ground turkey, follow same instructions as step 2 up to adding teriyaki sauce and carrots, then cook until pink remains, 3-4 minutes.

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Coarsely chop cilantro (no need to stem).

Halve lime. Cut one half into wedges and juice the other half.

  2. 2

    Cook the Pork

Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat, and add 1 tsp. olive oil. Add pork and seasoning blend to hot pan and stir occasionally, breaking up meat with a spoon, until starting to brown, 4-5 minutes.

Add carrots and teriyaki glaze and stir constantly until carrots start to soften and no pink remains on pork, 30-60 seconds.

    Remove from burner.

  3. 3

    Heat the Rice

Remove rice from packaging. Place rice in a microwave-safe bowl and add 2 Tbsp. water. Cover with a damp paper towel. Microwave until warm, 2 minutes.

Fluff rice with a fork. Stir in 2 tsp. lime juice and cilantro (reserve a pinch for garnish).

  4. 4

    Finish the Dish

Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping rice with pork mixture, and garnishing with peanuts, reserved cilantro, and crispy jalapeños (to taste). Squeeze lime wedges over dish (to taste). Bon appétit!
