Before You Cook
Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |
- Chicken 165° F |
- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F
Customize It Instructions

If using ground beef, break up until beef reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes.

If using ground turkey, break up until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes.

1 Cook the Vegetables
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.
Add Brussels sprouts, peppers, and half the garlic salt (reserve remaining for pork) to hot pan and stir occasionally until tender, 4-6 minutes. -
2 Add the Pork
Add ground pork and minced garlic & parsley to hot pan. Break up pork until no pink remains and pork reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 5-7 minutes.
Stir in remaining garlic salt. -
3 Add the Sauce
Add cream base, pesto (to taste), 1/2 tsp. salt, a pinch of pepper, and lemon juice to hot pan. Bring to a simmer.
Kids not a fan of extra heat? Feel free to skip/reduce the pesto. -
4 Add Pasta and Finish Dish
Once simmering, gently stir in pasta until combined and heated through, 30-60 seconds.
Remove from burner.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, garnishing with cheese and red pepper flakes (to taste). Kids not a fan of extra heat? Feel free to skip/reduce the red pepper flakes. Bon appétit!
