Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using ground turkey, break up until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes.

    Cook the Zucchini

    Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.

    Add zucchini, a pinch of garlic salt (reserve remaining for ground beef and sauce), and a pinch of pepper to hot pan. Stir occasionally until slightly browned and tender, 6-8 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

    While zucchini cooks, continue recipe.

    Cook the Ground Beef

    Place another large non-stick pan over medium-high heat.

    Add ground beef to hot, dry pan. Break up meat until no pink remains and beef reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes.

    Drain any excess liquid from pan. Pan will be hot! Use caution.

    Stir in 1/3 remaining garlic salt (reserve remaining for sauce).

    Add the Sauce

    Add Sicilian sauce (to taste) and flour to hot pan. Stir often until combined and no dry flour remains. Kids not a fan of extra heat? Feel free to skip/reduce the Sicilian sauce.

    Stir in cream base, marinara, remaining garlic salt, garlic and parsley seasoning, a pinch of pepper, 1/2 cup water, and half the cheese (reserve remaining for garnish) until combined. Bring to a simmer.

    Add Pasta and Zucchini and Finish Dish

    Once simmering, add zucchini and pasta to hot pan. Stir often until combined and pasta is heated through, 2-3 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping pasta with remaining cheese. Bon appétit!
