Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |
- Chicken 165° F |
- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F

If using ground turkey, break up until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes.

1 Cook the Zucchini
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.
Add zucchini, a pinch of garlic salt (reserve remaining for ground beef and sauce), and a pinch of pepper to hot pan. Stir occasionally until slightly browned and tender, 6-8 minutes.Remove from burner.While zucchini cooks, continue recipe. -
2 Cook the Ground Beef
Place another large non-stick pan over medium-high heat.
Add ground beef to hot, dry pan. Break up meat until no pink remains and beef reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes.Drain any excess liquid from pan. Pan will be hot! Use caution.Stir in 1/3 remaining garlic salt (reserve remaining for sauce). -
3 Add the Sauce
Add Sicilian sauce (to taste) and flour to hot pan. Stir often until combined and no dry flour remains. Kids not a fan of extra heat? Feel free to skip/reduce the Sicilian sauce.
Stir in cream base, marinara, remaining garlic salt, garlic and parsley seasoning, a pinch of pepper, 1/2 cup water, and half the cheese (reserve remaining for garnish) until combined. Bring to a simmer. -
4 Add Pasta and Zucchini and Finish Dish
Once simmering, add zucchini and pasta to hot pan. Stir often until combined and pasta is heated through, 2-3 minutes.
Remove from burner.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping pasta with remaining cheese. Bon appétit!
