Cooking Guidelines

1 Toast the Panko
Line a plate with a paper towel.
Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil. Add panko to hot pan and stir often until golden-brown, 1-2 minutes.Transfer to towel-lined plate. Wipe pan clean and reserve. -
2 Cook the Broccoli
Cut broccoli into bite-sized pieces.
Return pan used to toast panko to medium heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil. Add broccoli, garlic salt, and 1/4 cup water to hot pan. Cover and cook until water is almost completely evaporated, 4-6 minutes.Uncover and stir occasionally until tender, 2-3 minutes.Remove from burner. Stir in a pinch of salt and pepper.While broccoli cooks, continue recipe. -
3 Make Cheese Sauce and Finish Dish
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine cream base, 2 Tbsp. water, cheese, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Cover with a damp paper towel. Microwave covered, 1 minute.
Carefully remove from microwave. Stir to combine and cover with a damp paper towel. Microwave covered again until melted and bubbling, 1-2 minutes.Carefully remove from microwave. Stir to combine.To serve, top broccoli with sauce and garnish with toasted panko and red pepper flakes (to taste). Bon appétit!
