Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |
- Chicken 165° F |
- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F
Customize It Instructions

If using ground turkey, break up in a medium non-stick pan over medium heat with 1 tsp. olive oil until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes.

1 Prepare the Filling
Evenly divide ground beef, pepper and onion mix, and 2 tsp. olive oil between both provided trays.
Break up beef into bite-sized pieces and spread beef mixture into an even layer. -
2 Start the Filling
Bake uncovered in hot oven until vegetables are tender and ground beef reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 20-25 minutes.
Carefully remove both trays from oven and drain any excess liquid from trays. Trays will be hot! Use caution.Evenly divide 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. pepper, soy sauce, pho base, and Sriracha (to taste) between both trays. Stir to combine, breaking up beef, as needed. Trays will be hot! Use a utensil. Kids not a fan of extra heat? Feel free to skip/reduce the Sriracha. -
3 Heat Tortillas, Make Slaw, and Finish Meal
Wrap tortillas in a damp paper towel and microwave until warm, 30-60 seconds.
If tortillas come folded, keep folded.While tortillas microwave, tear cilantro leaves.Halve lime and juice.In a mixing bowl, combine slaw mix, cilantro, 1 Tbsp. lime juice, mayonnaise, and a pinch of salt. Kids want to help? With supervision, have them help prepare the slaw.Carefully remove tortillas from microwave.To serve, fill tortillas with filling and slaw. Make dinnertime fun! With supervision, have your kid(s) help assemble the tacos. Bon appétit!
