Cooking Guidelines

1 Prepare the Ingredients
Trim green beans, if necessary.
Peel and thinly slice shallot. -
2 Crisp the Bacon
Line a plate with a paper towel.
Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil. Add bacon to hot pan and stir occasionally until crisp, 2-3 minutes.Remove from burner. Transfer bacon to towel-lined plate. Reserve pan; no need to wipe clean. -
3 Cook Vegetables and Finish Dish
Return pan used to cook bacon to medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil. Add shallots to hot pan and stir occasionally, 30 seconds.
Add green beans and stir occasionally, 1 minute.Add 1/4 cup water, garlic salt, and a pinch of pepper. Cover and cook until tender, 6-8 minutes.If green beans need more time, add 2 Tbsp. water, cover, and stir occasionally, 1-3 minutes.Remove from burner. Stir in crisped bacon.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping with cheese. Bon appétit!
