Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using antibiotic free chicken, pat dry. Cook until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes per side.

    Prepare the Ingredients

    Cut broccoli into bite-sized pieces.

    Trim green beans, if necessary, and cut into 1" pieces.

    Line a microwave-safe plate with a paper towel. Place bacon on towel-lined plate and spread into a single layer.

    Microwave until crisp, 1-2 minutes.

    Carefully remove from microwave.

    While bacon microwaves, pat chicken dry. Season both sides with 1/4 tsp. salt, a pinch of pepper, and ranch seasoning.

    Cook the Chicken

    Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.

    Add chicken to hot pan. Cook until browned and chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 3-5 minutes per side.

    Cutlet thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner cutlet, we recommend checking for doneness sooner.

    Remove from burner.

    While chicken cooks, continue recipe.

    Cook the Vegetables

    Place another large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 1 Tbsp. olive oil.

    Add green beans, broccoli, 1/2 tsp. salt, and 1/4 cup water to hot pan. Cover and cook until water is almost completely evaporated, 4-6 minutes.

    Uncover, add garlic pepper, and stir occasionally until vegetables are tender, 3-4 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

    While vegetables cook, continue recipe.

    Make Sauce and Finish Dish

    In a microwave-safe bowl, combine cream base, cheese, and pesto. Kids want to help? With supervision, have them help mix the sauce.

    Microwave uncovered until heated through, 1-2 minutes.

    Carefully remove from microwave and stir to combine.

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping chicken with sauce and crispy bacon. Slice chicken, if desired. Garnish vegetables with crispy onions. Bon appétit!
