Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |
- Chicken 165° F |
- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F
Customize It Instructions

If using antibiotic free chicken, pat dry. Cook until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes per side.

If using ground beef, break up until beef reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes.

If using ground turkey, break up until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes.

1 Cook the Vegetables
Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil. Add onions, carrots, and a pinch of salt to hot pan. Stir occasionally until vegetables are tender and slightly browned, 6-8 minutes.

2 Add the Pork
Add ground pork and 1/4 tsp. salt to hot pan. Break up meat until no pink remains and pork reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 5-7 minutes.

3 Add the Sauce
Add tomato puree to hot pan. Stir occasionally until combined, 30-60 seconds.
Add crushed tomatoes, chicken base, mushroom base, pesto (to taste), 1/3 cup water, sugar, red pepper flakes (to taste), a pinch of pepper, and 1/4 tsp. salt. Kids not a fan of extra heat? Feel free to skip/reduce the pesto and red pepper flakes.Stir to combine and bring to a simmer. -
4 Add Noodles and Finish Dish
Once simmering, add noodles, half the cheese (reserve remaining for garnish), and a pinch of salt and pepper to hot pan. Stir occasionally until combined and noodles are heated through, 2-3 minutes.
Remove from burner.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping noodles with remaining cheese. Bon appétit!
