Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

1 Start the Ground Beef and Broccoli
Break broccoli into bite-sized pieces using hands. Evenly divide between both provided trays.
Evenly divide ground beef between both trays, breaking into bite-sized pieces. Top each tray with 1 tsp. olive oil. Alternatively, reserve half the raw broccoli for snacking/serving on the side.Bake both trays uncovered in hot oven, 15 minutes.Ground beef will finish cooking in a later step.Carefully remove from oven and drain any excess liquid. Trays will be hot! Use caution. -
2 Add the Bok Choy
Break up beef into smaller bite-sized pieces. Trays will be hot! Use a utensil.
Evenly divide bok choy, minced garlic and chili pepper (use less if spice-averse), and garlic salt between both trays. Stir to combine. Spread into an even layer.Kids not a fan of extra heat? Feel free to skip/reduce the minced garlic and chili pepper. -
3 Heat Rice and Finish Meal
Bake both trays again uncovered in hot oven until vegetables are tender and beef reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 5-10 minutes.
While meal bakes, coarsely crush wonton strips.Carefully massage rice in bag to break up any clumps and remove from packaging. Place rice in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave uncovered until heated through, 3-4 minutes.Carefully remove from microwave. Rest, 2 minutes.Stir in a pinch of salt and fluff rice with a fork.Carefully remove trays from oven. Evenly divide BBQ sauce (to taste) and orange sauce (to taste) between both trays. Stir to combine. Trays will be hot! Use a utensil. Kids not a fan of extra heat? Feel free to skip/reduce the BBQ sauce and orange sauce.To serve, top rice with ground beef-vegetable mixture. Garnish with wonton strips and sesame seeds. Bon appétit!
