Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using ground beef, follow same instructions.

  • If using ground turkey, cook in a medium-non stick pan over medium heat until patties reach minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes per side.

  1. 1

    Start the Fries

Cut potatoes into 1/4" fries and pat dry.

Place fries on one prepared baking sheet. Toss with 1 Tbsp. olive oil and seasoned salt. Spread into an even layer.

Roast in hot oven, 15 minutes.

    While fries roast, continue recipe.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

In a mixing bowl, thoroughly combine ground pork, fajita seasoning, and 1/4 tsp. salt. Form pork mixture into four equally-sized patties, 5" across.

  3. 3

    Finish Fries and Roast Patties

After 15 minutes, carefully remove sheet from oven and flip fries. Sheet and fries will be hot! Use a utensil/caution.

Place patties on second prepared baking sheet.

Roast both sheets in hot oven until fries are golden-brown and patties reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 10-15 minutes.

Kids not a fan of extra heat? Feel free to skip/reduce the cheese. Carefully remove both sheets from oven. Evenly top patties with cheese (to taste).

While fries and patties roast, continue recipe.

  4. 4

    Heat the Rolls

Heat rolls to your preference using a toaster or microwave.

Alternatively, place rolls directly on rack in hot oven, cut-side up. Toast until lightly browned, 3-4 minutes.

    While rolls heat, continue recipe.

  5. 5

Prepare Tomato, Make Chipotle Crema, and Finish Dish

Core tomato and cut into 1/4" rounds.

Kids not a fan of extra heat? Feel free to skip/reduce the pesto. In another mixing bowl, combine sour cream and pesto (to taste).

Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping bottom roll with chipotle crema (to taste), patty, tomatoes, spring mix, tortilla strips, then top roll. Bon appétit!
