Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F

If using antibiotic free chicken, pat dry. Cook until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes per side.

If using sirloin steaks, pat dry. Cook until steak reaches desired doneness, or 4-6 minutes per side for medium/medium-well. Rest, 3 minutes. Steak thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner steak, we recommend checking for doneness sooner.

1 Prepare Ingredients and Start Sweet Potatoes
Mince garlic.
Peel and mince shallot.Peel and cut sweet potatoes into thin rounds.Place a medium pot over medium-high heat. Add cream base, 3 Tbsp. water, and chicken base to hot pot. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.Once simmering, add sweet potatoes, shallots, 1/2 tsp. salt, and butter. Cover and stir occasionally until butter is melted and sweet potatoes are slightly softened, 7-9 minutes.Remove from burner. -
2 Finish the Sweet Potatoes
Transfer sweet potato mixture to prepared casserole dish. Spread into a single layer and evenly top with cheese.
Bake uncovered in hot oven until sweet potatoes are tender and browned, 15-20 minutes.Carefully remove from oven.While sweet potatoes bake, continue recipe. -
3 Cook the Steaks
Pat steaks dry. Season both sides with 1/4 tsp. salt and 1/4 tsp. pepper.
Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.Add steaks to hot pan. Cook until steaks reach desired doneness, or 3-5 minutes per side for medium/medium-well.Steak thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner steak, we recommend checking for doneness sooner.Remove from burner. Transfer steaks to a plate. Rest, 3 minutes.Wipe pan clean and reserve.While steaks cook, continue recipe. -
4 Cook the Spinach
Place a medium non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil.
Add half the garlic (reserve remaining for sauce) to hot pan. Stir occasionally until fragrant, 45-60 seconds.Add spinach in batches (don't overflow the pan) and a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir occasionally until wilted, 2-3 minutes.Remove from burner. -
5 Make Sauce and Finish Dish
Return pan used to cook steaks to medium-low heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil.
Add remaining garlic to hot pan. Stir occasionally until fragrant, 45-60 seconds.Add creme fraiche, 1/4 tsp. pepper, mushroom seasoning, and 2 Tbsp. water. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.Once simmering, stir occasionally until sauce is slightly thickened, 1-2 minutes.If too thick, add additional water, 1 tsp. at a time, until desired consistency is reached.Remove from burner.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping steak with sauce. Slice steak, if desired. Bon appétit!
