Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

Customize It Instructions

If using diced chicken breasts, pat dry. Stir occasionally until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes.

If using ground turkey, break up until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes.

If using shrimp, pat dry. Cook until pink and shrimp reach minimum internal temperature, 2-3 minutes per side.

1 Prepare the Ingredients
Coarsely chop peanuts.
Reserve 2 Tbsp. pineapple juice. Drain pineapples in a colander/strainer. Kids want to help? With supervision, have them help prepare the pineapples.Trim and thinly slice green onions on an angle, keeping white and green portions separate. -
2 Cook the Ground Beef
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat.
Add ground beef to hot, dry pan. Break up meat until no pink remains and beef reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes.Drain any excess liquid, if desired. Pan will be hot! Use caution. Stir in garlic salt and a pinch of pepper until combined, 1-2 minutes. -
3 Add the Sauce and Pineapples
Add garlic sesame sauce, reserved pineapple juice, brown sugar, 1/4 tsp. salt, and pineapples to hot pan. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
Once simmering, remove from burner.While beef mixture cooks, continue recipe. -
4 Heat Rice and Finish Dish
Carefully massage rice in bag to break up any clumps and remove from packaging.
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine rice, edamame, white portions of green onions, 1 Tbsp. salted butter, and 1/4 tsp. salt. Kids want to help? With supervision, have them help prepare the rice.Microwave uncovered until rice is heated through, 2-3 minutes.Carefully remove from microwave. Rest, 2 minutes.Stir to combine and fluff rice with a fork.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping rice with beef mixture. Garnish with peanuts and green portions of green onions.
