Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

    Prepare the Ingredients

    Coarsely crush peanuts.

    Trim green beans, if necessary. Cut into 2" pieces.

    Trim and thinly slice green onions on an angle, keeping white and green portions separate.

    Cook the Pork

    Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil. Add ground pork, ginger, and white portions of green onions to hot pan. Stir occasionally until pork is slightly browned, 3-4 minutes.

    Pork will finish cooking in a later step.

    Drain any excess liquid from pan. Pan will be hot! Use caution.

    Stir in half the soy sauce (reserve remaining for rice) until combined, 30-60 seconds.

    Add the Green Beans and Sauces

    Add green beans, garlic sesame sauce, yuzu dipping sauce, and a pinch of pepper to hot pan. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.

    Once simmering, cover and stir occasionally until green beans are tender and pork reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 5-7 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

    While pork mixture cooks, continue recipe.

    Heat Rice and Finish Dish

    Carefully massage rice in bag to break up any clumps and remove from packaging.

    Place another large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil. Add rice and 1/4 tsp. salt to hot pan. Stir occasionally until rice is heated through, 3-5 minutes.

    Add remaining soy sauce and stir often until combined, 1-2 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping pork mixture with sesame seeds and green portions of green onions. Garnish rice with peanuts. Bon appétit!
