Before You Cook
Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |
- Chicken 165° F |
- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F

1 Make the Sauce
Place a large pot over medium heat.
Add 5 cups water, cream base, garlic and parsley seasoning, garlic salt, and 1/4 tsp. pepper to hot pot. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer. -
2 Start the Orzo
Once simmering, add orzo to hot pot. Stir often until orzo is tender, 13-15 minutes.

3 Finish the Orzo
Add pesto, half the cheese (reserve remaining for garnish), peas, spinach, and a pinch of salt and pepper to hot pot. Stir occasionally until combined and spinach is wilted, 3-4 minutes.
Remove from burner.While orzo cooks, continue recipe. -
4 Cook Shrimp and Finish Dish
Pat shrimp dry. Season all over with buttermilk-dill seasoning.
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 1 Tbsp. olive oil.Add shrimp to hot pan. Cook until pink and shrimp reach a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 2-3 minutes per side.Remove from burner.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping orzo with shrimp. Garnish with remaining cheese. Bon appétit!
