Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |
- Chicken 165° F |
- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F

1 Prepare the Tomato
Core tomato and cut into 1/4" dice.

2 Cook the Pork
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.
Add ground turkey and half the garlic salt (reserve remaining for sauce) to hot pan.Break up meat until no pink remains and turkey reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 6-8 minutes.Carefully drain any excess liquid from pan. Pan will be hot! Use caution. -
3 Add the Sauce
Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, pesto, cream cheese, remaining garlic salt, 1/4 tsp. pepper, and 1/2 cup water to hot pan. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
Once simmering, add pasta and spinach. Stir occasionally until pasta is heated through and spinach is wilted, 2-3 minutes.Remove from burner. -
4 Broil Ciabatta and Finish Dish
Evenly spread softened butter on cut sides of ciabatta and halve diagonally.
Place ciabatta on prepared baking sheet.Place under hot broiler until ciabatta is slightly toasted, 1-2 minutes.Don't text and broil! Keep an eye on oven as ciabatta may burn easily under broiler.Carefully remove from broiler.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping pasta with grated cheese. Bon appétit!
