Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using antibiotic free chicken, follow same instructions.

    Prepare the Vegetables

    In one provided tray, combine pepper and onion mix, 2 tsp. olive oil, fajita seasoning, and 1/4 tsp. salt. Spread into an even layer.

    Prepare the Chicken

    Coarsely crush tortilla strips.

    Pat chicken dry. Season both sides with 1 tsp. olive oil, adobo seasoning, and 1/4 tsp. salt. Place chicken in second provided tray.

    Evenly top with mayonnaise, then cheese and tortilla strips, pressing gently to adhere.

    Bake Meal and Heat Rice

    Bake both trays uncovered in hot oven until vegetables are tender and chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 20-25 minutes.

    While meal bakes, halve lime. Cut one half into wedges and juice the other half.

    Massage rice in bag to break up any clumps and remove from packaging. Place rice in a microwave-safe bowl.

    Microwave uncovered until heated through, 3-4 minutes.

    Carefully remove from microwave. Rest, 2 minutes.

    Stir in softened butter, 1 tsp. lime juice (to taste), and 1/4 tsp. salt until combined. Fluff rice with a fork.

    Carefully remove both trays from oven.

    To serve, top rice with chicken and vegetables. Squeeze lime wedges over to taste. Bon appétit!
