Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

1 Roast the Fries
Cut potatoes into 1/2" thick fries and pat dry.
Place potatoes on prepared baking sheet and toss with 4 tsp. olive oil, garlic salt, and 1/4 tsp. pepper. Spread into a single layer.Roast in hot oven until lightly browned and tender, 23-28 minutes, flipping once halfway through.Carefully remove from oven.While fries roast, continue recipe. -
2 Make the Pico de Gallo
Core tomatoes and cut into 1/4" dice.
Trim and thinly slice green onions.In a mixing bowl, combine salsa (to taste), tomatoes, green onions, 1/4 tsp. salt, and pinch of pepper. Set aside. -
3 Make Patties and Toast Buns
In another mixing bowl, combine ground beef, taco seasoning, and a pinch of salt. Form beef mixture into 4 equally-sized patties, about 5" in diameter.
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Working in batches if necessary, add buns, cut side down, to hot, dry pan. Toast until golden-brown, 1-2 minutes.Transfer buns to a plate. Keep pan over medium-high heat. -
4 Cook Patties and Finish Dish
Add patties to hot, dry pan. Cook undisturbed until browned on one side, 4-6 minutes.
Flip patties, and top with cheese. Cover and cook until cheese is melted and beef reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 3-4 minutes.Remove from burner.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping bottom bun with guacamole, patty, pico de gallo (to taste), and top bun. Bon appétit!
