  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

  1. 1

    Roast the Fries

Cut potatoes into 1/2" thick fries and pat dry.

Place potatoes on prepared baking sheet and toss with 4 tsp. olive oil, garlic salt, and 1/4 tsp. pepper. Spread into a single layer.

Roast in hot oven until lightly browned and tender, 23-28 minutes, flipping once halfway through.

    Carefully remove from oven.

    While fries roast, continue recipe.

  2. 2

    Make the Pico de Gallo

Core tomatoes and cut into 1/4" dice.

Trim and thinly slice green onions.

In a mixing bowl, combine salsa (to taste), tomatoes, green onions, 1/4 tsp. salt, and pinch of pepper. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Make Patties and Toast Buns

In another mixing bowl, combine ground beef, taco seasoning, and a pinch of salt. Form beef mixture into 4 equally-sized patties, about 5" in diameter.

Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Working in batches if necessary, add buns, cut side down, to hot, dry pan. Toast until golden-brown, 1-2 minutes.

Transfer buns to a plate. Keep pan over medium-high heat.

  4. 4

    Cook Patties and Finish Dish

Add patties to hot, dry pan. Cook undisturbed until browned on one side, 4-6 minutes.

Flip patties, and top with cheese. Cover and cook until cheese is melted and beef reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 3-4 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping bottom bun with guacamole, patty, pico de gallo (to taste), and top bun. Bon appétit!
