Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using antibiotic free chicken, pat dry. Cook in a medium non-stick pan over medium heat with 1 tsp. olive oil until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes per side.

    Prepare Dill and Start Orzo

    Stem dill.

    In one provided tray, combine orzo, Brussels sprouts, 1 1/2 cups water, garlic salt, cream cheese, minced garlic and parsley, and 2 tsp. olive oil. Cover with foil. Have a little sous chef around? With supervision, have them help season the orzo. Cream cheese will melt as meal bakes.

    Bake covered in hot oven, 20 minutes.

    While orzo bakes, continue recipe.

    Make Sauce and Add Chicken

    In a microwave-safe bowl, combine tomatoes and 1 tsp. olive oil. If you receive one whole tomato instead, not to worry; simply core tomato, cut into 1/2" dice, and proceed with recipe instructions. Cover with a damp paper towel.

    Microwave uncovered until softened, 2-3 minutes.

    Carefully remove from microwave. Stir in tomato puree, 1 tsp. olive oil, a pinch of salt, and half the chimichurri seasoning (reserve remaining for chicken) until combined.

    Pat chicken dry. Season both sides with 1/4 tsp. salt and a pinch of pepper. Place chicken in second provided tray and evenly top with sauce, feta, then remaining chimichurri seasoning.

    After 20 minutes, carefully remove orzo from oven. Uncover and stir in half the dill (reserve remaining for garnish) until combined. Cover tray with foil.

    Finish the Meal

    Bake both trays (chicken uncovered, orzo covered) in hot oven until orzo is tender and chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 18-22 minutes.

    Cutlet thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner cutlet, we recommend checking for doneness sooner.

    Carefully remove from oven.

    To serve, garnish orzo with remaining dill. Slice chicken, if desired. Bon appétit!
