Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F

If using ground beef, break up until beef reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes.

If using Italian sausage, remove from casing, if necessary. Break up sausage until no pink remains and sausage reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes.

1 Cook the Turkey and Peppers
Place a large pot over medium heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.
Add mixed peppers and ground turkey to hot pot. Break up meat until no pink remains and turkey reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 7-9 minutes.Drain any excess liquid from pot.While turkey and peppers cook, continue recipe. -
2 Prepare the Beans
Drain and rinse beans in a colander/strainer.

3 Start the Soup
Add butter, minced garlic and parsley, spinach (in batches, don't overflow pot), beans, garlic salt, lemon n herb seasoning, and 1/4 tsp. salt to hot pot. Stir occasionally until combined and spinach is wilted, 2-3 minutes.

4 Finish Soup and Finish Dish
Add flour to hot pot and stir until no dry flour remains. Add 4 cups water and mirepoix base. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
Once simmering, stir occasionally until broth is slightly thickened, 3-4 minutes.Remove from burner.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping soup with croutons and cheese. Bon appétit!
