Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

- Ground Turkey 165° F |

If using ground beef, roast until meatballs reach minimum internal temperature, 17-20 minutes.

1 Prepare the Ingredients
Trim green beans and halve.
Peel, trim, and cut carrot into 1/4" slices on an angle. If carrot is larger than 1" in diameter, halve before slicing. -
2 Start the Vegetables
Place carrots on one half of prepared baking sheet and spread into an even layer. Alternatively, reserve half the raw carrots for snacking/serving on the side.
Place green beans on empty side of sheet and spread into an even layer.Evenly top vegetables with 2 tsp. olive oil and 1/3 the garlic salt (reserve remaining for meatballs). Kids want to help? With supervision, have them help assemble the vegetables.Roast in hot oven, 10 minutes.While vegetables roast, continue recipe. -
3 Add the Meatballs
In a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, panko, remaining garlic salt, Italian seasoning, 1/4 tsp. pepper, and half the shredded cheese (reserve remaining for sauce). Form mixture into 16 equally-sized meatballs.
After 10 minutes, carefully remove sheet from oven and push vegetables to one side of sheet. Sheet will be hot! Use a utensil.Place meatballs on empty side of sheet. Evenly top with 1 tsp. olive oil. -
4 Roast the Vegetables and Meatballs
Roast in hot oven until vegetables are tender and meatballs reach a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 15-20 minutes.
Carefully remove from oven. Stir softened basil pesto butter and a pinch of salt into vegetables until combined.While vegetables and meatballs roast, continue recipe. -
5 Heat Sauce and Finish Dish
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine cream cheese, remaining shredded cheese, sun-dried tomato pesto, and 2 Tbsp. water.
Microwave uncovered until heated through, 60-90 seconds.Carefully remove from microwave and stir to combine.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping meatballs with sauce. Bon appétit!
