Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

    Cook the Ground Turkey

    Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.

    Add ground turkey, 1/2 tsp. salt, and 1/4 tsp. pepper to hot pan. Break up meat until no pink remains and turkey reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 7-9 minutes.

    Add the Sauce

    Add flour to hot pan and stir until no dry flour remains.

    Add cream base, chicken base, 1/4 cup water, seasoned salt, mustard (to taste), and half the cheese (reserve remaining for garnish). Stir to combine and bring to simmer.

    Add the Peas

    Once simmering, add peas to hot pan. Stir occasionally until heated through, 1-2 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

    While turkey mixture cooks, continue recipe.

    Heat Noodles and Finish Dish

    Place noodles in a microwave-safe bowl and cover with a damp paper towel.

    Microwave covered until heated through, 2-3 minutes.

    Carefully remove from microwave. Stir in softened butter until melted and combined.

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping noodles with turkey mixture. Garnish with remaining cheese. Bon appétit!
