Before You Cook
Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |
- Chicken 165° F |
- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F

1 Start the Sausage
Turn oven on to 425 degrees. Let preheat, at least 10 minutes. Thoroughly rinse any fresh produce and pat dry.
Remove Italian sausage from casing, if necessary.Evenly divide sausage between both provided trays. Break up into small pieces and spread evenly. Top both trays with 1 tsp. olive oil.Bake uncovered in hot oven until sausage starts to brown, 10-12 minutes.Carefully remove from oven. -
2 Add the Pasta
Evenly divide tomato sauce, mirepoix base, spinach, roasted red peppers, chopped garlic, Italian seasoning, 1/4 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. pepper, Tuscan herb butter (use less if spice-averse), and pasta between both trays. Stir to combine. Trays will be hot! Use a utensil.
Cover both trays with foil. -
3 Bake the Meal
Bake both trays again covered in hot oven until pasta is heated through and sausage reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 10-15 minutes.
Carefully remove both trays from oven.To serve, garnish with cheese. Bon appétit!
