Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

If using cooked beef brisket, separate pieces. Stir occasionally until brisket is heated through, 4-6 minutes.

If using steak strips, pat dry, coarsely chop, then separate pieces. Stir occasionally until steak reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes. Rest, 3 minutes.

1 Start the Potato Salad
Cut potatoes into 3/4" pieces.
Place potatoes and 2 Tbsp. water in a microwave-safe bowl. Cover with a damp paper towel.Microwave covered until fork-tender, 10-12 minutes, stirring once halfway through. (Note: microwaves vary in power; begin checking doneness every minute after 10 minutes.)Carefully remove from microwave and uncover. Stir in corn until combined, then cover with a damp paper towel.Microwave again covered until corn is heated through, 1-2 minutes.Carefully remove from microwave and drain any excess liquid. Stir in ranch seasoning and 1/4 tsp. salt until combined. Let cool, at least 10 minutes.While potatoes microwave, continue recipe. -
2 Cook the Pork
Pat pork dry. Coarsely chop, then separate pieces.
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.Add pork, garlic salt, and 1/4 tsp. pepper to hot pan. Stir occasionally until browned and pork reaches a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 5-7 minutes. -
3 Add the Sauce and Cheese
Add BBQ sauce and 2 Tbsp. water to hot pan. Stir often until combined, 1-2 minutes.
Evenly top pork with cheese. Cover and cook until cheese is melted, 1-2 minutes.Remove from burner. Rest, 3 minutes.While cheese melts, continue recipe. -
4 Finish Potato Salad, Heat Rolls, and Finish Dish
Coarsely chop parsley.
After 10 minutes, or once potatoes are room temperature, stir in dressing, mayonnaise, 1 tsp. parsley (to taste), and a pinch of salt and pepper until combined. Set aside.Heat rolls to your preference using a toaster or microwave.Alternatively, place a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add rolls, cut-side down, to hot, dry pan. Toast until lightly browned, 1-2 minutes.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping bottom roll with pork mixture, then top roll. Bon appétit!
