Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

1 Prepare The Ingredients
Halve and peel onion. Slice halves into thin strips.
Add peas to a microwave safe bowl and cook 1-2 minutes.Combine pasta, ranch dressing, peas, and garlic salt in a mixing bowl until completely combined. Refrigerate until ready to use. -
2 Start The Meal
In a clean slow cooker, chicken, onion, 1/2 cup water, 1/4 tsp salt and a pinch of pepper.
Turn slow cooker on to high heat. Cover, and cook until chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 4 hours. -
3 Add Ingredients
After 3 1/2 hours, add BBQ sauce and sugar. Continue to cook until heated through.

4 Toast The Buns and Finish The Dish
Place cheese slices on top buns. Place buns directly on oven rack and broil until toasted and cheese is melted, 1-2 minutes.
