Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

  • Chicken 165° F |

  • Ground Turkey 165° F |

    Prepare The Ingredients

    Halve and peel onion. Slice halves into thin strips. Add peas to a microwave safe bowl and cook 1-2 minutes. Combine pasta, ranch dressing, peas, and garlic salt in a mixing bowl until completely combined. Refrigerate until ready to use.

    Start The Meal

    In a clean slow cooker, chicken, onion, ½ cup water, ¼ tsp salt and a pinch of pepper. Turn slow cooker on to high heat. Cover, and cook until chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 4 hours.

    Add Ingredients

    After 3 ½ hours, add BBQ sauce and sugar. Continue to cook until heated through.

    Toast The Buns and Finish The Dish

    Place cheese slices on top buns. Place buns directly on oven rack and broil until toasted and cheese is melted, 1-2 minutes. Plate dish as pictured on front of card. Bon appétit!
