Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

  • Ground Turkey 165° F |

    Microwave Instructions

    Drain and rinse beans in a colanders/strainer.

    Drain brisket and separate slices.

    Combine brisket, beans, and corn in provided tray. Top with chimichurri (to taste) and 2 Tbsp. water. Cover tray with a damp paper towel.

    Microwave covered until brisket is heated through, 2-3 minutes.

    Carefully remove from microwave.

    Halve lime and juice. In a mixing bowl, thoroughly combine slaw mix, 2 tsp. lime juice, and a pinch of salt. Set aside.

    Wrap tortillas in a damp paper towel and microwave until warmed, 30-60 seconds.

    If tortillas come folded, keep folded.

    To serve, fill tortillas with brisket mixture, slaw, sour cream, and crispy jalapeños (to taste). Bon appétit!

    Oven Instructions

    Turn oven on to 375 degrees. Let preheat, at least 10 minutes. Make sure to use conventional oven setting, not convection. Drain and rinse beans in a colander/strainer.

    Drain brisket and separate slices.

    Combine brisket, beans, and corn in provided tray. Top with chimichurri (to taste) and 2 Tbsp. water. Place tray on baking sheet.

    Bake uncovered in hot oven until brisket is heated through, 12-15 minutes.

    Carefully remove from oven.

    Halve lime and juice. In a mixing bowl, thoroughly combine slaw mix, 2 tsp. lime juice, and a pinch of salt. Set aside.

    Wrap tortillas in a damp paper towel and microwave until warmed, 30-60 seconds.
