Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |

  • Ground Turkey 165° F |

    Prepare the Vegetables

    Turn oven on to 425 degrees. Let preheat, at least 10 minutes. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and warm water before cooking, and after handling raw meat and seafood. Remove all produce from any packaging or constraints, then thoroughly rinse and pat dry.

    In provided tray, combine zucchini, bell peppers, 1 tsp. olive oil, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Push to one side of tray.

    Add the Meatballs

    In a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, panko, mayonnaise, chimichurri seasoning, garlic and parsley seasoning, 1/4 tsp. salt, and 1/4 tsp. pepper.

    Form mixture into 6 equally-sized meatballs. Place in empty side of tray and drizzle with 1 tsp. olive oil.

    Bake the Meal

    Bake uncovered in hot oven until vegetables are tender and meatballs reach a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 22-25 minutes.

    Carefully remove tray from oven. Drain any excess liquid from tray. Stir butter and a pinch of salt into vegetables.

    To serve, top meatballs with tzatziki and garnish vegetables with cheese. Bon appétit!
