Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |
- Chicken 165° F |
- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F
Customize It Instructions

If using ground beef, break up until beef reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes.

If using ground turkey, break up until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes.

1 Prepare the Ingredients
Drain and rinse beans in a colander/strainer.
Combine beans, 2 tsp. water, 1/4 the fiesta seasoning (reserve remaining for pork), and cream cheese in a microwave-safe bowl. Mash with a fork until beans are slightly chunky.Microwave uncovered until cream cheese is melted, 1-2 minutes.Carefully remove from microwave and stir to combine.While beans microwave, halve lime and cut into wedges.Trim and thinly slice green onions. -
2 Cook the Pork
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil.
Add ground pork, garlic salt, and remaining fiesta seasoning to hot pan. Break up meat until no pink remains and pork reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 5-7 minutes.Remove from burner and transfer pork to a plate. Wipe pan clean and reserve. -
3 Assemble the Quesadillas
Place tortillas on a clean, flat work surface.
Evenly divide beans between tortillas, placing on one half. Top beans with pork, then shredded cheese.Fold tortillas over cheese, pressing gently to adhere. -
4 Toast the Quesadillas
Return pan used to cook pork to medium heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil.
Working in batches if necessary, add quesadillas to hot pan. Toast until golden-brown, 2-4 minutes per side.Replenish oil, if necessary.Remove from burner.While quesadillas toast, continue recipe. -
5 Heat Sauce and Finish Dish
Place enchilada sauce (to taste) in another microwave-safe bowl.
Microwave uncovered until heated through, 60-90 seconds.Carefully remove from microwave.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping quesadilla with enchilada sauce (to taste) and sour cream. Cut quesadilla into triangles, if desired. Garnish with green onions and squeeze lime wedges over to taste. Bon appétit!
