Before You Cook
Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |
- Chicken 165° F |
- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F
Customize It Instructions

If using flank steak, follow same instructions as steak strips.

If using Impossible burger, follow same instructions as steak strips in Steps 1, 2, and 3, breaking up burger and baking in hot oven until heated through, 20-25 minutes.

If using shrimp, pat dry. Follow same instructions as steak strips in Steps 1, 2, and 3, baking in hot oven until shrimp reach minimum internal temperature, 20-25 minutes.

1 Bake the Steak Strips and Peppers
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Thoroughly rinse any fresh produce and pat dry. Spray provided tray with cooking spray.
Separate steak strips into a single layer and pat dry. Place steak strips in tray in a single layer and top evenly with garlic salt, diced peppers, 2 tsp. olive oil, 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper.Bake uncovered in hot oven, 12 minutes. -
2 Add the Pasta
Carefully remove tray from oven. Stir, breaking up steak strips. Tray will be hot! Use a utensil.
Stir in tomatoes, red cooking wine, half the Italian seasoning, 1/4 cup water, and pasta until completely combined.Spray a piece of foil with cooking spray. Cover tray with foil, sprayed side down. -
3 Bake the Meal
Bake covered in hot oven until pasta is heated through and steak strips reach a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 10-12 minutes.
Carefully remove tray from oven. Rest, 3 minutes.Remove foil. Coarsely crush cheese crisps. Top with Parmesan, red pepper flakes (to taste), remaining Italian seasoning (if desired) and crushed cheese crisps. Bon appétit!
