  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

  1. 1

    Start the Rice

Turn oven on to 425 degrees. Let preheat, at least 10 minutes. Thoroughly rinse any fresh produce and pat dry.

Combine rice and 1 cup water in provided tray.

Bake uncovered in hot oven until water is almost completely absorbed, 10-12 minutes.

    While rice bakes, continue recipe.

  2. 2

    Add the Peppers and Meatballs

In a mixing bowl, combine panko and 2 Tbsp. water. Rest, 1 minute.

Add ground beef, 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper. Form mixture into six evenly-sized meatballs.

    Carefully remove tray from oven.

Stir in mixed peppers and sesame seeds. Top rice with meatballs.

    Cover tray with foil.

  3. 3

    Make Sauce and Bake Meal

Bake covered in hot oven until rice and peppers are tender and meatballs reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 15-20 minutes.

While meal bakes, coarsely crush pineapple.

In a microwave-safe bowl, combine crushed pineapple and sweet and sour sauce. Cover with a damp paper towel. Microwave covered until sauce is warm, 30-60 seconds.

Carefully remove bowl from microwave and tray from oven. Transfer meatballs to a plate. Season rice with umami seasoning and 1/2 tsp. salt.

To serve, top rice with meatballs and garnish meatballs with sauce. Bon appétit!
