Before You Cook

Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using ground beef, follow same instructions.

  • If using ground turkey, add meatballs to hot pan and cook until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 11-13 minutes.

    Cook the Rice

    Bring a small pot with rice, garlic salt, and 1 1/4 cups water to a boil.

    Once boiling, reduce to a simmer, cover, and cook until rice is tender, 15-18 minutes.

    Remove from burner. Set aside and cover to keep warm.

    While rice cooks, continue recipe.

    Prepare the Ingredients

    Cut broccoli into 1" pieces.

    Finely chop water chestnuts.

    Trim and thinly slice green onions.

    Form the Meatballs

    In a mixing bowl, combine panko, soy sauce, and 1 Tbsp. water. Let sit, 1 minute.

    After 1 minute, add ground pork, water chestnuts, ramen pork base, and a pinch of salt. Stir until thoroughly combined.

    Form pork mixture into 8 equally-sized meatballs.

    Start the Meatball Mixture

    Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add sesame oil.

    Add meatballs to hot pan. Roll occasionally until browned all over, 3-5 minutes.

    Meatballs will finish cooking in a later step.

    Reduce heat to medium-low.

    Finish Meatball Mixture and Finish Dish

    Add broccoli, teriyaki glaze, and 2 Tbsp. water to hot pan. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.

    Once simmering, cover and stir occasionally until broccoli is tender and meatballs reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 5-7 minutes.

    Uncover; stir often until broccoli and meatballs are coated, 1-2 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping rice with meatball mixture and sauce from pan. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Bon appétit!
