A note about serious food allergies

Burgers get crazy with variety nowadays, but sometimes you just want a burger with less than fifty items stacked on it. This burger brings BBQ and cheese together, and who can argue with that? Enough flavor for the biggest of big burgers, but you can actually take a bite without dislocating your jaw. Amazing!

  • If using ground pork, follow same instructions as ground beef in Steps 1 and 2, cooking until burgers reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 5-6 minutes per side.

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Trim and thinly slice green onions. Form ground beef into two equally-sized patties. Season both sides with ¼ tsp. salt and a pinch of pepper.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Place a medium non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil. Add patties to hot pan. Cook on one side until browned, 4-6 minutes. Flip patties and top with cheese. Cover, and cook until lightly charred and beef reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes. Remove from burner. While burgers cook, cook potatoes.

  3. 3

    Cook the Potatoes

Heat 2 tsp. olive oil in a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Add potatoes to hot pan. Cook until lightly browned on two sides, 3-4 minutes, stirring once halfway through. Stir in bacon and cook until bacon is crisp, 1-2 minutes. Remove from burner. Stir in green onions and hot sauce (to taste).
