Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

    Trim stems off Brussels sprouts and ¼. Halve and peel onion. Cut halves into ¼" dice.

    start onions

    " Place a large non-stick pan over medium-low heat. Add 2 tsp. olive oil. Add onion to hot pan and season with ½ garlic salt. Stir occasionally until onion is lightly caramelized, 15-20 minutes. If pan is dry, add up to 3 Tbsp water.

    cook brussels

    Add Brussels sprouts and bacon to hot pan and stir occasionally until lightly charred, 3-5 minutes. Season with remaining garlic salt and garlic pepper.

    Add maple and bacon

    Add 2-3 Tbsp water to veg and cook another 2-3 min, until fork tender. Season with ¼ tsp. salt. Remove from burner and set aside.

    Plate up Brussels sprouts.Garnish with drizzle of maple syrup and shredded parm . Bon Appetit!
