Before You Cook
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

Start the Vegetables
Turn oven on to 425 degrees. Let preheat, at least 10 minutes. Thoroughly rinse any fresh produce and pat dry.Combine Brussels sprouts, carrots, 2 tsp. olive oil, garlic pepper, and 1/4 tsp. salt in provided tray. Spread into a single layer.Cover tray with foil. Bake covered in hot oven until carrots start to soften, 15-18 minutes.Vegetables will finish baking in a later step.While vegetables bake, continue recipe.
Add the Chicken
Pat chicken dry and season both sides with a pinch of salt and pepper. Drizzle with 1 tsp. olive oil.After 15 minutes, carefully remove tray from oven. Push vegetables to one side. Tray will be hot! Use a utensil.Add chicken to now-empty side of tray.
Bake Meal and Make Crema
Bake uncovered in hot oven until chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 20-25 minutes.While meal bakes, in a mixing bowl, combine sour cream, black garlic seasoning, and lemon juice.Carefully remove from oven. Stir butter into vegetables.To serve, top chicken with crema and crispy onions and garnish vegetables with cheese. Bon appétit!
