Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |
- Chicken 165° F |
- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F

1 Prepare the Ingredients
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Remove lid and label, if necessary. When ingredient appears in recipe, remove from packaging. Combine pepper and onion mix with 1 tsp. olive oil and fajita seasoning in bottom of provided tray. Break up rice inside bag and add to tray. Combine rice and fajita mix and push to one side of tray.

2 Add the Chicken
Place chicken on empty side of tray and pat dry. Season with a pinch of pepper. Spread chicken evenly with cream cheese, then pour salsa on top. If using pork chops, follow same instructions.

3 Finish the Dish
Bake uncovered in hot oven until chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 20-25 minutes. If using pork chops, bake uncovered in hot oven until pork reaches a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 20-25 minutes. Carefully remove from oven. Gently crush tortilla strips and sprinkle over chicken. Bon appétit!
