Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using ground beef, follow same instructions.

  • If using ground turkey, break up until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes.

  1. 1

    Cook the Noodles

Once water in medium pot is boiling, add noodles to hot pot. Cook until al dente, 8-10 minutes.

Remove from burner. Reserve 1/2 cup noodle cooking water. Drain noodles in a colander/strainer and set aside.

    While noodles cook, continue recipe.

  2. 2

Prepare Ingredients and Make Cornstarch Mixture

Remove any discolored outer leaves from bok choy and trim ends. Cut into 1" strips.

    Stem cilantro; keeping leaves whole.

Peel and halve shallot. Slice thinly.

    Thinly slice garlic.

In a mixing bowl, combine orange ginger sesame sauce (to taste), ramen pork base, and cornstarch. Set aside.

  3. 3

Cook the Shallot and Chili Topping

Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 1 Tbsp. olive oil.

Add half the shallots (reserve remaining for noodles) to hot pan. Stir often until slightly browned, 2-3 minutes.

Add garlic and a pinch of salt. Stir often until garlic is fragrant, 1-2 minutes.

Stir in sesame seeds and red pepper flakes (to taste) until combined. Transfer shallot mixture to a plate. Keep pan over medium heat.

  4. 4

    Cook the Pork

Add 1 tsp. olive oil, ground pork and pinch of salt to hot pan.

Break up meat until no pink remains and pork reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 5-7 minutes.

  5. 5

Add Sauce and Noodles and Finish Dish

Add remaining shallots and bok choy to hot pan. Stir often until vegetables are slightly tender, 2-3 minutes.

Stir cornstarch mixture. Add cornstarch mixture and half the reserved noodle cooking water to pan and stir until combined. Bring to a simmer.

Once simmering, add noodles. Stir often until noodles are heated through and sauce is slightly thickened, 1-2 minutes.

If too thick, add remaining noodle cooking water, 1 Tbsp. at a time, until desired consistency is reached. Remove from burner.

Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping noodles with cilantro, peanuts, and shallot and chili topping (to taste). Bon appétit!
