Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

    Microwave Instructions

    Thoroughly rinse any fresh produce and pat dry. Drain pulled pork and separate pieces.

    In both provided trays, evenly divide pork and BBQ sauce. Stir to combine. Cover both trays with a damp paper towel. Microwave covered until pork is warmed through, 3-4 minutes.

    Carefully remove trays from microwave and stir. Evenly top both trays with cheese and cover trays with a damp paper towel. Microwave covered until cheese has melted, 2-3 minutes.

    Carefully remove trays from microwave.

    In a mixing bowl, combine slaw mix, carrots, cranberries, a pinch of pepper, and dressing. Set aside.

    Wrap buns in a damp paper towel and microwave until warm, 30-60 seconds.

    To serve, top bottom bun with pulled pork mixture, pickles, and top bun. Serve slaw on the side. Bon appétit!

    Oven Instructions

    Turn oven on to 375 degrees. Let preheat, at least 10 minutes. Make sure to use conventional oven setting, not convection. Thoroughly rinse any fresh produce and pat dry. Drain pulled pork and separate pieces.

    In both provided trays, evenly divide pork and BBQ sauce. Stir to combine. Cover both trays with foil. Place trays on a baking sheet. Bake covered in hot oven until pork is warmed through, 12-15 minutes.

    Carefully remove trays from oven and stir. Evenly top both trays with cheese and cover both trays with foil. Place trays on a baking sheet. Bake again covered in hot oven until cheese melts, 5-8 minutes.

    Place buns, cut-side down, directly on oven rack. Toast until lightly browned, 3-5 minutes.

    Carefully remove trays and buns from oven. In a mixing bowl, combine slaw mix, carrots, cranberries, a pinch of pepper, and dressing.

    To serve, top bottom bun with pulled pork mixture, pickles, and top bun. Serve slaw on the side. Bon appétit!
