Before You Cook
Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |
- Chicken 165° F |
- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F

If using diced chicken breasts, follow same instructions as shrimp in Steps 2 and 3, baking partially covered in hot oven until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 20-25 minutes.

If using steak strips, separate into a single layer, pat dry, and coarsely chop. Follow same instructions as shrimp in Steps 2 and 3, baking partially covered in hot oven until steak reaches minimum internal temperature, 13-15 minutes. Rest, 3 minutes.

1 Bake the Vegetables
Turn oven on to 425 degrees. Let preheat, at least 10 minutes. Thoroughly rinse any fresh produce and pat dry.
Combine diced peppers, 1 tsp. olive oil, and a pinch of salt and pepper in provided tray. Spread into a single layer and cover with foil.Bake covered in hot oven, 8 minutes. -
2 Add the Rice and Shrimp
While peppers bake, carefully massage rice in bag to break up any clumps.
Pat shrimp dry.Carefully remove tray from oven. Stir rice, peas, and a pinch of salt and pepper into tray, then push to one side.Add shrimp, garlic, 1 tsp. olive oil, and seasoning blend to empty side of tray. Stir to combine. -
3 Bake the Dish
Cover rice portion of tray with foil, leaving shrimp uncovered. Bake in hot oven until peppers are tender and shrimp reach a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 15-20 minutes.
Carefully remove tray from oven. Stir butter into shrimp. Top shrimp with honey and crispy jalapeños (to taste). Bon appétit!
