Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |
- Chicken 165° F |
- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F

1 Start the Sausage
Turn oven on to 425 degrees. Let preheat, at least 10 minutes. Remove all produce from any packaging or constraints, then thoroughly rinse and pat dry.
Remove Italian sausage from casing, if necessary.Break sausage into bite-sized pieces and evenly divide between both provided trays.Bake uncovered in hot oven until sausage browns, 10 minutes.Carefully remove both trays from oven. -
2 Add the Pasta and Cheese
Evenly divide pasta, tomatoes, garlic salt, peppers, and red pepper flakes (use less if spice averse) between both provided trays. Stir to combine.
Top both trays evenly with mozzarella. Dollop ricotta evenly between both trays. -
3 Bake the Meal
Bake both trays again uncovered in hot oven until sauce is bubbling and sausage reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 15-20 minutes.
Carefully remove both trays from oven. Bon appétit!
