Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using diced chicken breasts, pat dry. Stir occasionally until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes.

  • If using 16 oz. shrimp, follow same instructions as 8 oz., working in batches if necessary.

    Prepare the Ingredients

    Halve ciabatta and separate, if necessary.

    Mince parsley; no need to stem.

    Quarter lemon lengthwise.

    Mince garlic.

    Pat shrimp dry and season all over with a pinch of pepper.

    Cook Pasta and Toast Ciabatta

    Once water is boiling, add pasta and cook until al dente, 9-10 minutes.

    Remove from burner. Drain in a colander/strainer and set aside.

    While pasta cooks, place ciabatta on prepared baking sheet, cut-side up. Evenly top with cheese and 1 Tbsp. olive oil.

    Bake in hot oven until cheese is melted and lightly browned, 7-10 minutes.

    While pasta cooks and ciabatta toasts, continue recipe.

    Start the Shrimp

    Place a medium non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil.

    Add shrimp to hot pan. Sear until golden-brown, 2-3 minutes on one side.

    Flip shrimp and sear, 1 minute.

    Reduce heat to medium. Transfer shrimp to a plate. Shrimp will finish cooking in a later step.

    Keep pan over medium heat; no need to wipe clean.

    Make Sauce and Finish Shrimp

    Add 2 tsp. olive oil and garlic to hot pan. Stir occasionally until fragrant, 30-60 seconds.

    Add cooking wine and stir occasionally until almost all wine is evaporated, 1-2 minutes.

    Stir in cream base until combined and bring to a simmer.

    Once simmering, add shrimp and parsley (reserve a pinch for garnish). Stir occasionally until combined and shrimp reach a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 1-2 minutes.

    Add Pasta and Finish Dish

    Add pasta to hot pan. Stir occasionally until coated and heated through, 2-3 minutes.

    Remove from burner. Stir in 1/4 tsp. salt and a pinch of pepper until combined.

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping pasta with red pepper flakes (to taste) and remaining parsley. Squeeze lemon wedges over to taste. Halve ciabatta diagonally, if desired. Bon appétit!
